I’ll be blogging the rest of this beautiful Gorge wedding next week. For now, just a sneak peek…

Aaron and Melinda got married in a small civil ceremony right before leaving for a few years of work abroad, but always knew they wanted to have a big celebration with all of their family and friends. They first heard about their venue, the Highland Meadows Ranch, through a friend of a friend. John and Suzy Pearson don’t even advertise their gorgeous barn space for weddings – they’d rather not have it booked every summer weekend, thank you – and so it feels like this cozy retreat that you feel insanely lucky to have stumbled upon. Once Aaron and Melinda found it, they knew it was perfect.

All of the tables were named after country singers…

Love that Melinda rocked the cowboy boots all day long!

Melinda has one seriously gorgeous profile. I mean, it’s kind of sick. In the best way.

I love that they did a sweet little dance right after their vows…

Isn’t Melinda gorgeous? She kept reminding me of an actress from Old Hollywood days.

While we were off taking some portraits, Aaron and Melinda’s guests enjoyed lawn games, a hay ride, and the beautiful surroundings of the ranch from the barn.

This is John, the owner of the ranch, and hayride driver. How photogenic is he?

Fantastic bluegrass from Foothill Diesel…

Couldn’t resist a long exposure to showcase the lovely star-filled sky…

Congratulations, Aaron and Melinda!
Bride and Groom portraits are always one of my favorite parts about any wedding. The setting around the Crag Rats Hut in Hood River was just breathtaking, and we set off for the nearby orchards, Hasselblad in tow.
